Mission

The main tasks of the Institute for Social and Development Studies include

• offering academic courses, especially as part of the teaching programme of the Munich School of Philosophy
• holding courses, seminars and talks and organising working groups, especially in collaboration with other formation centres
• collaborating with scientific, political and religious organisations, as well as with social movements
• promoting research in the social sciences
• facilitating and participating in the collaboration of Jesuits of the German Province of the Society of Jesus who are working or studying in the social sciences
• supporting the European and world wide collaboration of Jesuits in social sciences
