Supplementary Program Adult Education (Erwachsenenpädagogik)
The Munich School of Philosophy offers a special supplementary program in philosophy for adult educators. The program, given in a two-term cycle, is intended to provide an opportunity for those already holding an academic degree to explore some of the fundamental issues and problems in philosophy, while improving their skills in instructional methods. Coursework emphasizes topics in the area of philosophical anthropology, tracing philosophical problems in their historical development and discussing them in light of current intellectual views.
In addition to lectures and exercises in philosophical anthropology, the program in Adult Education includes specific training in didactic methods.
The school awards a certificate for the program to those participants who enroll in a minimum of 12 hours of courses per week and pass the examinations. It is also possible to register for individual courses as an auditor, and receive accreditation for exams taken individually on a voluntary basis.

Structure
The supplementary program is comprised of the following divisions:
1. Philosophical Anthropology
In this division a selection of courses may be chosen from among those offered in the main philosophy course listing. (Course Catalogs)
2. Adult Education
In this division participants may select from the courses and exercises offered specifically for training in adult education.
3. Field of Major Interest
In addition to the two basic divisions above, participants are expected to chose an area of concentration in philosophy. Courses should be selected to promote a deeper understanding of a focussed issue, which seems of particular relevance to the individual. More information about the Program in Adult Education is available in the Office of the Registrar at the Munich School of Philosophy.
